I Have News!!! + A Photo Dump

So these are two totally unrelated things, but a) Life Update, and b) I've spent the last few days taking pictures that I don't like enough to post to Pinterest, but I still like a little, so I'll be sharing those as I'm rambling about my news!  

So obviously, I repaint and customize dolls.  With that, two things 1) I only buy TLC dolls, and 2) with TLC dolls, comes the need to occasionally buy new doll wigs.  

I went through a phase in middle school where I bought a lot of doll wigs, but they are all colored wigs (😭) and no longer work for my collection or my collection goals (so they sit in a box in my room).  

My modern problem with doll wigs is that they're just... in my mind... expensive.  My logic is why would I pay over $30 for a doll accessory when I can just buy a new doll??? (With that logic, I now have over 30 AG dolls, and uhm, at least ten of them could use new wigs, I also need new doll clothes, but... money...)  

Previously, I bought all my wigs from DollofaKind, because again,  I was in that colored wig phase, but also because the ones I liked were cheap(er) at her store than some other places. Well a little bit ago, I decided I finally needed a new doll wig, because I'd had a doll in my room that had been wig-less for about half a year.  And I'd spent some time looking, and my mom pointed out a wig on Zazou Dolls that was currently on sale, and I really liked, so I bought it (very impulsively).  Initially, I had it on Dalia, but it is now sitting on Lily:

Anyway, I'd posted a review picture (which I honestly kinda cringe at when I look at it now, but it's fine) and the shop owner reached out to me saying "hey, I love your photo, can I use it?" which, obviously, childhood dream of mine, so I said "uhm yes, ofc!"    

And from that moment, I decided that I am officially using Zazou Dolls to purchase all future doll wigs, I won't mind that they're expensive.  

So.  I finally talked myself into buying another one of her wigs, since I've been meaning to get Saige a new wig for about five years... and I will say so myself, this is the PERFECT replacement wig for Saige:

And I always post review photos, because, I love doll photography, and it's just something I do.  

WELL.  Wait a little bit, and she reaches out to me again *screaming internally with joy*, and guys my excitement is simply just through the roof because she asked to use that photo as well, and asked if I had IG, which, no, I don't, (so she's following my Pinterest now) and I've disappointed a few people with that statement, but an IG account is something I'm just not motivated to create.  Which, the conversation kinda continues, and she then asked if I'd be interested in taking doll photos for her in exchange for free wigs.  

Like.

Y'all.

I can't.  

Even just thinking about it, I scream internally.

This was a dream of mine growing up.  I remember I used to buy doll wigs *back when my photography was really cringe* and I'd pose the dolls outside and pretend I was taking review photos, and I'd copy and paste them into little collages... it was this whole thing  

So right now I don't know for sure if there will be genuine follow through or whether this is going to become a reality for me or not, but even just the thought of it.... of 1) free wigs, obviously, but 2) my dolls getting shared with the greater AG population and... 

guys.... 

Ya, I just needed to share. 

So long story short... I may or may not be working with the literal Zazou Dolls sometime in the future!

Without further ado, here is the photo dump I mentioned previously!  

I genuinely kinda love this shot?  Although it reminds me of that Taylor Swift trend so... then I like it less.  But the concept behind the shot?  Love.  

I just like this one because it gives more emphasis to the stacks of books.  Though the one I have up on my account I love a lot more!  

I'm obsessed with this bunny mug.  (Which actually, it fell and broke right after I took this shot 😢) *Luckily, it was a clean break, so it got glued back together.* 

 I might've considered posted it, if it had a better crop, however, I really wanted the necklaces in the photo too.  

When did Tenley get so cute??? Like that braid?  Obsessed.   

I am in love with these photos of Iris!  Yes, she has a new wig.  I like to change her hair every few months, she's just that kinda type.  

This one of Jordi is okay... she kept falling over and the wig kept falling off... I would've loved to keep trying but the motivation left.  She also has a new wig... it's GOTY Kavi's wig, although it's literally falling apart.  You can't tell from the front though, and this is the closest she's ever looked to her book character, so I'm going to keep it until I find something better.  

I have no comments on this one.  

We have to end on a high note 😍 have I ever mentioned my obsession with this guy???  I have another tattoo planned for him, so I'm really excited about that!  And I just painted some eyelashes on him, and I thought he was cute before... he is so much cuter now.  I also really love the mixed metals vibe that he has... idk if I did it "correctly" or not, but I'm here for it!
