“This isn’t the Hawaii I know”

Hey guys!! Happy… technically it’s still Saturday! I’ve been meaning to post this for a month ๐Ÿ˜… and I had some pictures with Lilo in the snow, and I had other indoor ones… but they just… they weren’t Lilo.
And obv, when I received Lilo… it was “snow” season. Try taking pictures of an island and beach doll in the snow??? It doesn’t work. So! We have finally gotten a break from our extreme winter conditions and as a result I drove out to the beach (I desperately need to take her to the ocean) to try and officially take some decent pictures of Miss Lili’uokalani!

It’s not the Hawaii she knows, although it’s still beach! I’m not madly in love with the photos, but I hope you enjoy!

Take Me to the Beach -

A Lilo photo dump

We finally have some photos that feel… a little closer to Moana

The lighting in all of these makes me want to sob internally. And I just whisper *vintage postcards, vintage postcards* to myself over and over again that way I like the photos more

I had to try and take one photo of her with her hair down.

*this was the last shot before she got washed off her feet ๐Ÿ˜ญ more about this later*

Initially, this was my favorite photo… but after I edited the other ones, I didn’t like it as much ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜… I like that it’s sandy though! And the lighting was the best in this one.

OBSESSED with this photo!

My camera focused on the water, not her ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚ still like it though!

The vintage Hawaiian post card vibes in these three make me really happy.

As previously mentioned… She fell into the water at the end of the photo shoot, so she got all sandy ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ luckily the water staining is minimal, since her cloth body is darker

And since I’m not at home, I didn’t have a blow dryer sooo I just turned the heat up and had her stand in front of the heater… which actually worked out kinda perfectly???
Overall! I’m not too bothered she got soaked, and I like the way most of photos turned out.

Sorry I don’t really have much to say in my photo dump posts! But thanks for scrolling through my photos!

  1. Lilo *is* adorable. You definitely captured vintage postcard vibes and I am living for it. Her getting wet and sandy is terrifying, but I'm glad she didn't get too water-stained!

    1. Thank you, as always :)
It's mildly frustrating for sure... but then again I think it's rather normal for my doll collection. And you just gave me an idea for a post, so thanks for that too ๐Ÿ˜‚
