*Updated* The Dolls of 2024

Hi! Merry almost Christmas! I wanted to do a quick pre-Christmas recap of all the dolls I added to my collection this year… *Btw, I FINALLY have my Meet the Dolls page up, technically it’s not finished, but it’s posted so... ya!*

So I think 2024 was my DOC year, with the addition of Fatima, Dalia, and Magnolia, just to name a few… which was nice because my collection was quite lacking.

Dalia (GOTY Kavi) was the first doll I received in 2024, she was a birthday present. I uhm had this awesome repaint idea for her, but then I did NOT like the wig I had in mind for her… so uhm. Repaint idea failed, I would love to go back in time and redo everything… although I’m kinda content with the wig she currently has… but. Uhm. I feel I missed the opportunity to actually enjoy Kavi for what she was. Oh well.

Don't be surprised if in 2025 she gets a new wig!

A few months later, I got Fatima at a flea market (I LOVE flea markets and thrifting) I really do love her, although that side part kills me sometimes, her hair is always in her face.

But! If I pin her hair back, or I put it in a bun, it’s fine. And she’s cute.

When I bought her, a friend also bought me a crochet frog, which is obviously doll sized, and I made it her emotional support "pet" frog Toucan.  And that is how Miss Fatima got the love for crochet.  That is about the only solid aspect of her personality I have.

I re-customized a few dolls in the summer months, making the characters of Annalise and Meredith, which I will get to in a moment.  One of the things I really love about my collection is none of my dolls have the same repaint, so I really did try a new style with Meredith which is SO NOT my style, but I genuinely kinda love it!

I’ve been trying to find the right wig for Annalise for as long as I’ve had the PC Felicity head. And I find one, and I like it for about a month, and then I dislike it again, in this endless cycle. But I think REALLY tight brown curls could be a way to go?

This Felicity doll (now Annalise) is one of my older dolls, and I LOVE her, but as I literally just mentioned, I haven't found the right wig yet, and I've always wanted a doll without hair (I don't know why) so I'm chillin with this for the time being.  I LOVE how it brings out her piercings, which took me WAYYYY too long to do (lol).

Next is Magnolia! I had some extra cash so I decided, what better to spend my money on than I new doll? If I don’t have a doll restoration project going, I get bored and restless, ngl. I love love love her, VERY solid investment.

Shortly after, I bought Indigo, because I had this AMAZING repaint idea and really needed a Josefina. I love her gold earrings and just her vibe. Even though I have NO clue what her vibe is yet. But I know it’ll be good.

Finally is the beautiful Cielo St. John! I was SO happy to finally get a Jess!! I actually bought her as a mini Christmas present to myself (honestly I think that was just my coverup to get another doll).  She is Cori's little sister, LOVES ABBA, and honestly, I just find her character so relatable, and she's definitely one of my favorites! (Although honestly, I could say that about all my dolls.)

So actually. I lied. Because I bought an array of doll parts this year as well. A little background info. A few years ago I had this idea (that naturally didn’t work, a lot of my repaint ideas don't quite fit the vision) so I bought a doll head and repainted it into Julie. For the last few years, I’ve had this doll head just sitting around, and well this year I was finally sick of constantly swapping heads with bodies so I could take pictures of Julie.
And I’ve looked for doll bodies before, but the problem is the prices for just a doll BODY???
Outrageous.

And why would I pay for a body when I can get an entire doll for under 40 bucks?? (That logic has screwed me over for the last few years)

Well FINALLY I found a seller who was selling TWO bodies for under 30. Can you imagine my shock and joy?? So obviously I bought that. But THEN. Well I would’ve had an extra doll body so naturally I had to buy another head. Which I bought a PC Molly head that I turned into a new version of Olive, because I needed Olive for another doll project of mine.  I have a reveal of her coming soon! (Although she's also in the group photo LOL).

And I think that covers all additions up until Christmas!
