*I was going to post this next week, but my day was just... crashing and burning and... I really needed a pick-me-up so I decided I'd finish this!* Can we just agree that my posting schedule is every other day? Sorry guys 😠but hopefully you'll find this semi-entertaining!

The Tattoo: A Script with Picture(s)?
From the POV of Cielo St. John
(Can you tell she's one of my favorites? She is perfect in every way, I ADORE her.)
"Well... I wanna give her the good kinda heart attack, you know? Just a little, haha funny, start to the New Year kinda thing! A few skipped heart beats, not a complete flat line... You know, like making someone turn in their grave, but just a little shift, not a full rotation!"
"Uh huh..."
I ignore the skepticism in his voice, staring at the wall again. It has so many tattoo designs, I don't know how I can possibly choose.
And it's not like I'm trying to kill her, no I love her too much for that. I just needed a little, "I love you Eomma!" New Years present to keep her heart young. A good startle, keep her on her toes. It's my job as a daughter after all.
"So...." I glance back at Caspian. "You're sure you can make anything temporary?"
He crosses his arms, leaning back in the chair. "How many times have we gone over this? Yes."
“And you claim you can draw anything?”
“I know I can.”
Confident. We like that. He has enough tattoos, I'll believe him.
"But... well how do I choose? I mean! I want something obvious and drastic, but I can't do TOO big, because I have a serious issue with pain... Do these hurt?"
"No."
That's a relief.
"Okay. Well. Mom won't know that, and I'm trying to sell a lie here. If my Mom sees something HUGE, she'll know it's not real!"
His glass green eyes flicker from the wall back to me. "Right." He doesn't seem annoyed... maybe a little amused? I doubt he has a lot of 16 year olds come in, trying to prank their Mom.
Is this even legal? Oh heck what does it matter. It's only temporary, it's not like I'm getting a genuine tattoo. I love my Eomma too much to get a genuine tattoo. Oh she would faint.
"But I don't want it to be too subtle either... Cori? Any thoughts?"
"Oh no. You keep me out of this. I'm just the ride that got you here."
Right.
I bite down on my lower lip, staring at the wall again. I know I don't want a small tattoo. That's obvious. Eomma could go weeks without noticing that.
"Can I make a suggestion?"
I'd almost forgotten Caspian was sitting there, the sound of his voice snapping me from my head.
"Have her come back when she's made up your mind?" Cori teases, finishing the statement for him.
He just chuckles, shaking his head. "Nah. If I were you..." He stands up, walking over to me and pointing at the wall. "I'd go with this."
I can feel the smile cross my lips as I nod. "Done."

“We’re documenting this! Cielo making poor decisions! Smile Cielo!”
"You need a better quality camera."
“Cielo, it’s not gonna hurt.”
I look him dead in the eye, clutching my stuffed flamingo closer. “I don’t trust men.”
He laughs. "Smart woman."
“I can’t believe you actually did this.”
"Oh com'on. This was the smartest decision I've made in years! Genius really!"

Also. Guess who is now fighting the urge to give Cielo a tattoo? Literally just reminding myself, she's only 16, she's only 16, she's only 16. I'm going to be SO sad when I take that dragon off though... I LOVE it on her. So I think I'm going to fix the bottom cloud and then I will take some official photos for Pinterest! *with a... better quality camera ofc 😂😉* (meaning just, more effort and attention to detail. Although I honestly love how effortless my blog pictures are. Like I just snap photos and go "well, it's just for the blog, it doesn't need to look great" it's kinda freeing, ngl.)
The urge to give a 16-year old character tattoos is what I struggle with every time I see your stuff lol. Troy would just be so perfect with some tattoos. He would also be the type to get a temporary tattoo as a prank, so Troy and Cielo clearly have some stuff in common. I can't believe you did that with crayola marker?? It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIf it's any deciding factor for you, I do happen to know a 16-year old who has a tattoo. As in, not temporary. It's... a little crazy, actually.
This was hilarious to read. :) Cielo has my heart. Also taking low-effort blog pictures is so me. Like, I obviously try really hard for photoshoots, but everything else? Zero effort.
Thank you! Cielo has my heart and soul... she is just... I could swoon over her forever. I am WAITING for your recreation of this with Troy and Min-J! No pressure :) If it's any deciding factor for you, I knew a guy who was a junior and did tattoos on himself and other people.
