♡ π™Όπš˜πšŠπš—πšŠ - technically a Mini Review ♡

Hey guys!! So yes, I JUST posted, BUT!!

My parents surprised me with Moana and naturally… well I just have to make a very brief post fangirling over her.

(I also got another Effanbee doll which I am SO excited about, she is ADORABLE *then again, all my Effanbee dolls are* so I’ll try and have my Vintage In Me page updated in a day or two!! *which my Meet the Dolls page is updated as well ✨*)

So let's see!!

I don't really know where to begin... I'm still shocked that I have her honestly... Initially I'd been hoping to get her as a birthday present, and it was a few days before my birthday so I was trying to guess what I got (like all normal people do) well I mentioned her and my mom got very distressed because she didn't think I'd actually wanted her so she felt really bad (in reality, my mom is just an amazing actress).

So I was like "oh that's fine" and I intended to just start saving up for her and I figured I'd have her by the beginning of March.

Ahem.

She was a surprise present and my mind is just...

Anyway!

I'm rambling.  Moral of the story: love my parents.

I mean isn't she just so pretty?!?!?!???
although I have to admit, NOT a fan of the necklace... they made the charm a little too big in my humble opinion.

None of these really capture how... red(?) her skin is (is that the correct term... probably not, but idk how else to word it).  Like her coloring is NOTHING close to ANY of my other dolls... it really reminds me of Pocahontas in the best possible way.  Like if you just google a picture of Pocahontas same exact skin tone.  I am HERE for it.

I have a couple.... maybe fears(?) regarding her hair?  Like I would love if the curls were more defined, they look like they'll get matted really easily and me and doll hair... not the best of friends.  So the curls really don't have much definition and frizz pretty easily... but I'm not complaining because idk it just kinda adds to the "diversity" of my collection.

I am obsessed with this photo.  I just need to take more pictures of her honestly.  I did these very haphazardly in the span of only a couple seconds... and the photos I take where I'm holding the doll in mid-air rarely turn out well.  I love her hair in this shot though.

Alsooooo I'm going to a snowy cabin this weekend and I'm supposed to FINALLY get snow where I live as well, so HOPEFULLY with the grace of all things good and holy, my Pinterest account will be COVERED in snow themed pictures because there is nothing I love more than Christmas and snow.  (Aside from maybe writing and dolls, naturally).  I'll be taking Kirsten and Linni (Lindsey), because Linni is SO underrated and I am DETERMINED to take decent pictures of Kirsten for ONCE in my life.

ANyWay!

Moana!  Which I have renamed Lili'uokalani (Lilo for short).  The one problem with her name is that it comes with SO much weight... to where I'm afraid to pick a song out for her or even figure out her vibe in the fear that I will disgrace the name somehow.

So I have NO clue what her aesthetic is... for some reason "beach" just doesn't seem regal enough for me.

Usually, when I buy dolls I already have a character or vibe in mind for them.... with Lilo, I just knew I wanted the doll because she looked so prettyyyyyyy.  Idk about a repaint yet... on my birthday I had firmly resolved to never repaint her... as I'm writing this I have an itch to at least repaint her a LITTLE bit.

But this is what she looks like ATM, I will probably have repaint pictures up by next week.  Sometimes I feel like repainting dolls is a genuine crime... or at least the way I do it(?)  So uhm.  There is definitely some guilt associated with the thought of repainting her, but the curiosity at the idea is even greater.

And that's all folks!

  1. I don't need Moana I don't need Moana I don't need Moana...
Okay fine, time to make a section for her on my "dolls I want" Pinterest board (I renamed that board I think... idk what to call it anymore. 😭 The name change was to discourage me from getting more dolls...)
But seriously, she is SO gorgeous and genuinely such a doll that stands out from the rest. AG did a stellar job with her. I am going to need more photos of her to satisfy my new doll craving, if you don't mind. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… *I'm TrYiNg To SaVe FoR a RuMoReD mOnStEr HiGh ReLeAsE.* (I'm delusional, don't mind me.)
Her eyebrows are awfully sharp so I am kinda wondering what she would look like with different eyebrows. Just, you know, in case you do repaint her...

I did decide to repaint her.... uHm... I like her, my brother likes her... some other people do NOT... so πŸ˜… we will see... πŸ˜…πŸ˜ I might redo the repaint. But ya! Pictures! I'll take some more of her for sure!
