I finally have a doll kitchen!
Hi guys! Sorry for the long delay! But we have some *breaking news*
(We're using Gracie as my cover photo because she has been my go-to photography girl lately)
The RestlessRoseDolls Kitchen
That’s right! I FINALLY have an official doll kitchen!! Which means I finished my OG Diner Reno! (Please don't ask me to disclose how long it took for me to finish the floor tiles 😅)
Here it is in all it's messy grandeur.
Also, I would just like to say... I am obsessed with how coordinated everything is??? It was so unintentional, but like... I can't get over it.
Like look at how cute those colors are together???
it even matches the plates and utensils I already had on hand... like y'all... and this black, baby blue, and light pink thing??? Totally my color scheme.
Also. Just one more photo for my floors because all the time and effort was *in my mind* so worth it!
However! There are a few *minor inconveniences*
So. To make this kitchen, I started with the base of the OG Retro Diner. However, I really wanted to be able to incorporate a fridge/stove/oven into my reno kitchen, so I removed the back of the Diner, opening it up. And I slid an OG Kitchen set behind it, which I'd initially had some doubts about how the red would work with my checkered floor and blue chairs... but then I remembered AG Grace's collection, and I went "well... if it worked for them... let's see if it looks okay"
With this though, there are a few flaws... mainly in the Diner's countertop, which was supposed to connect to the back wall.
Obviously, if I leave it like that... it really closes off the kitchen and makes no logical sense at all. You also then really notice that the countertops do not match 😂 (although I seriously love those marble counters)
However! For photography purposes, if I use the right angle, it really doesn't look bad.
And compared to my alternative... there really is no winning strategy, lol.
If I fold the extra counter piece back... well... it just looks... a bit odd, kinda like a tray sitting on the counter.
I've looked into removing it, but I don't want to break it, so as of right now.... I'm keeping it(?). Idk. I make it work.
Little bit of a side note... What type of doll food is supposed to fit in those refrigerator doors???
And finally... seeing as I'm living in the Strawberry phase of my life, we had to ✨improve✨ this napkin container with some washi tape. My washi tape collection is quite extensive. (I do a lot of book-related scrapbooking... for character development ofc)
and that's all folks!!!
Sometime in the future I plan to add the finishing touches to the kitchen, because honestly... it still feels only 75% complete to me... I still have plans. but ya!

I kinda disappeared off the face of the earth for a second... whoops. I meant to say on your last post that repainting the diner is such a great idea! It turned out so well! I really get Grace's bakery vibes from it, in the best way.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have a lot more ideas for it... so I guess this really was just a part 2 😅😂
