New Dolls / New Wigs / Life Updates: 

Tea Talks for short :) 

Hi guys! Immm not dead! I'm just... really busy?  

And really sick. 

So much has happened, idk where to start. 

But!

Couple things before we get started.  

First and foremost, happy late Easter!! 

Secondly: I am making an official posting schedule!  

Fridays, 5 pm PST.  

This is just kinda my trailer, intro-to-the-future-of-this-blog post.  Also, because if I post this any later, I can no longer say Happy Late Easter!   

Now!  

Idk what I'm doing with my format, but I'm kinda vibing with it.

And let's get into it!

First of all, I have some new dolls to introduce! 

Which, I think this will just be an intro post... because I'm trying not to make this too long. 

The first, which I am SO excited about, is Miss Versailles. I’m working on a nickname, but all I can think of is Si, and that... it won't work for her. 

And I made her last name Slaughter, YES, I will indirectly disclose context. Although I know a few people with Slaughter as their last name, so I'm not completely unhinged. It was just wayyyy too good an opportunity to pass up. If you’d like context, here you go 😁: 

So, as I’ve mentioned way too many times before, I write novels!  Not books, novels.  Have to specify, because novels are longer and the phrase "I wrote a novel" sounds so much cooler than "I wrote a book".  Anyway.  (Anyone who stumbles across my Pinterest writing account… I apologize in advance. I have 3 Pinterest accounts, one is my personal, you could learn literally anything about me if you’re a stalker, and the second is my writing account, it’s a mess.)

I published my first novel last year (well… it’s privately published but when I got it printed I got the “congratulations on publishing your first book!” From the printing company so I will flex that’s is published)  I’m currently working on a fantasy… idk if it will be a series or a trilogy yet. (I could get so into book lore, but I’ll spare you). 

If you're familiar with my collection, Dalia and Constance are both in the third book, and they’re best friends.  Versailles is in the… I think I'mma make it the second book. (Which is my fantasy vampire book, yayyy 😂😭!) Although my ultimate goal is to not use the word vampire anywhere in that novel, aside from one scene, because in the novel it’s actually kinda a derogatory term. (*disclaimer* I never got into genuine vampire lore or Twilight or the Vampire Diaries or anything, so I’m completely making my own thing, which is why we love fantasy!) but ya! Versailles. I love her. Honestly, I fight the urge to get too in depth about my books and characters. It’s fine. I’m moving on. (And E… if you’re reading this. I saw your Pinterest board I’ve been SCREAMING internally with joy trying so hard to just keep my writer mouth shut, as you can see, I've been semi-successful.) 

Secondly, we have my biggest doll DIY project to date, with the addition of Miss. Willow "Porsha" Milele Carver to my collection.  (We have Slaughter as a last name, and Carver, and I am so here for it.)  Porsha is best friends with Versailles in the novel, and I find it funny how Milele means forever... and vampires kinda live forever... anyway!  (I am totally going to pretend I planned that, even though I didn't)

The post all about Porsha is coming out on Friday (promise).  It only seemed right to include a teaser for her, and I've only been hinting at her for the last... maybe month now.  We're going to continue building suspense.  (She would want it that way)

Finally, as of this morning, I got these three dolls as well, because I was gifted a wig *more on that later* and did not have a doll for it. So! What else to do but buy, not one, not two, but three more AG dolls! Yay me!  The lot came with some doll clothes and books too, although I plan to just resell a lot of it.    

 

I got a Saige (who has some seriously odd body staining, but I'm refusing the make yet another vitiligo doll, so I think I'll just scrub her down and soak her in some oxyclean or smth)

I got a Julie (yay, I finally have her face mold!!!)

And... truly me #24.  There are not a lot of dolls on my "I seriously do not want" list... but uhm. #24 has always been pretty high up there, she is just so... unappealing to me.  But!  Now I have her.... so... now I need to figure out what to do with my little Tenley-look-a-like because two Tenneys??? *shudder*

Moving On (promise, we're in the home stretch!)

Secondly!! If you’re familiar with a previous post, I’m kind of… unofficially partnered with Zazou Dolls and she sent me my first shipment of wigs a few weeks ago! (Yes, I’ve been moving at a snails pace and it’s taken me this long to take pictures and write a post about it). But I didn't know she shipped the wigs so I just went to get my mail one day… and there they were. And I was screaming with joy. 

So I got three wigs:

I got the Alouette wig (which is SO cute, but gets so frizzy so fast 😅)

looks stunning in a messy bun though, and Kat needed a new wig, which I think it's cute on her.

I really wanna try dutch braiding it

And the chadwick brown wig.  Which.  Is about 10 shades darker than I thought it would be.  Not that that's a bad thing!! It is such a gorgeous dark chocolate brown and is PERFECT for a Jude or a Valor (dolls I do not have).  But uhm.  Way too dark for Adam, aka who I wanted the wig for.  I also didn't have a spare doll to make Jude... which is why I went out and bought more dolls.  Because... out of the 30 I have??? It really only looked cute on Versailles and well... she's a girl.  The amount of dolls I have with blue eyes is odd to me.  

... ya... I don't even remember where I was going with this post.  

So ya!  I have three new dolls, I've recustomized 2 olds ones, making five "new" additions to my collection, and we have three new wigs!  Which is good.  A lot of my dolls need new wigs.
