Spring Break's Dollhouse DIYs
My Spring Break Dollhouse DIYs
Hi guys!
So I've actually... genuinely.... had a rather productive week? Doll-wise anyway. *shocking*
I might've mentioned this before, but I work at an ELC, and they are on spring break this week! (yayyyy!!! I mean I LOVE my job *I work with 18month to 3 year olds, what's not to love???* but good good glory, I desperately needed a break). So between my college work and my new-found free-time, we've been doing a lot of doll projects!
First off! I *finally* made some doll spices! Lol, I say "made" like I made them. I bought the jars at Hobby Lobby (I adore Hobby Lobby) and we have a spice-rack that's been sitting unused in my garage for at least 6 years, so I just helped myself.
But aren't they just so cute??

(idk if this really counts as a craft or a DIY, but the spice rack doesn't either, so, we're gonna include it)
I crossed another project off my bucket-list!! Iris got, yet another, customization update! Isn't Iris's hair just so pretty??? I adore it. The process taught me how to tie a slipknot, so I learned multiple things with this project! (we're really expanding my doll-customization horizons here)
On to the next thing!
If you've read my bio, or know absolutely anything about me. You know. That I am obsessed with Pride and Prejudice, and just Jane Austen in general. I've also seen Greta Gerwig's Little Women at least 20 times. Soooo.... some doll-versions of my absolute favorite book, and middle-school-me's favorite book, were just necessities. I haven't completely finished the Little Women book yet, but that's okay because it honestly can't hold a candle to P&P.

I also did my first ever eye-swap! I have another one coming up too... and I'm planning one more after that... I'm really hoping this process just keeps getting easier... if not, I'm sure you'll read about the horror stories either way ๐

And I bought all the supplies to dye my first AG doll! The joy I had looking through Goodwills for the right stainless steel pot... (the joke I had was I just kept telling my family I was out shopping for pot... ya, my humor is bad. But my mom and I got a really good laugh out of it). I was also able to find the dye I needed at Hobby Lobby, which was a huge score for me! The voodoo vibes are so strong though, I’m not gonna lie. I'm also not going to include photos, because this is a rather... more... well this isn't the right type of post for my witchcraft photography.

So.... along with Iris's hair customization... I make doll jewelry now??? Like.... I've bought the beads and supplies for it, so that'll be fun!
And I bought this chain because Caspian obviously needs a jean chain. At this point, it's just a necessity for his character style. Yet somehow... I don't own an all-black t-shirt for him??? Like I have all the accessories but none of the physical clothes smh. I don't know how that lines up. But! I got the chain! So another thing is crossed off my bucket list! Doing it myself (instead of buying one off Etsy) also saved me $10 bucks, lol

Finally, we can’t forget about my little DIY pizza… which I’m honestly kinda obsessed with??? I made it back in middle school (or maybe 5th grade) but it definitely got a ✨glow up ✨ last week
Obsessing over the picture of Lilo. She's gorgeous in yellow. Also obsessing with the doll spices?? I think tiny jars are my weakness, actually.
ReplyDeleteI thought you'd be proud to know that I'm reading Pride and Prejudice (for the first time) in my literature class right now! One of my friends really loves P&P, and I was excited to read it because he was excited. ๐ We're 1/3 of the way in, and I'm enjoying it so far.
Thank you! I agree, yellow is definitely her color.
DeleteLove that for you :)
